Evaluation Of Transmission & Transformation (T&T) Losses Of
National Transmission & Despatch Co. Ltd. (NTDCL)

National Transmission and Despatch Company Ltd. (NTDCL) is a corporate entity. As per
instructions of National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), NTDCL needs to hire a
consultancy firm in order to carry out independent evaluation of Transmission and
Transformation (T&T) losses of NTDCL Transmission System Network. The total cost of this
consultancy project shall be met through NTDCL own resources. NTDCL is now seeking
Expression Of Interest (EOI) from suitable international /national / consortium/ firms with
appropriate capabilities and experience to execute the services to complete the aforementioned
assignment.
A consulting firm /consortium will be selected, using Public Procurement Regulatory Authority
(PPRA) Guidelines for procurement of Consultancy Services (available on PPRA website
www.ppra.org.pk), on Lump Sum basis and the method of selection will be Quality and Costbased. The consultant’s team of interested firms should comprise of experts in transmission line
and grid station projects. The team members should have international/domestic experience
with adequate and demonstrated technical skills in relevant areas as per Terms Of Reference
(TOR).
The interested consulting firms are invited to send their qualifications for the purposes of short
listing. NTDCL will send a Request For Proposal (RFP) to the short listed firms.
The scope of work includes review of data provided by NTDCL in connection with the entitled
assignment and evaluation of Transmission and Transformation (T&T) losses of NTDCL
Transmission System Network for financial year 2011-12 and 2012-13.
The Consultant will be required to complete the job within two (02) months from the date of
signing of contract. Moreover, the firm shall also propose the team of experts, which it intends
to use for the said assignment as per TOR.
The detailed Terms Of Reference (TOR) for Consultants may be collected from the address given
below from 01-07-2013 and onwards or can be downloaded from the official website of NTDCL
i.e. www.ntdc.com.pk.
The firm should have demonstrated experience in relevant sectors and project scope. The EOI
should comprise of the following:

A brief capability including experience of similar works.
Summary statements of recent similar project experience.
Brief profile of relevant experts.
The EOI may be sent by mail or courier to the address provided below and must be received by
NTDCL by 22-07-2013 till 2:00 pm Pakistan Standard Time. Please note that NTDCL reserves the
right to withdraw from this process at any stage and will bear no liability whatsoever for any
expenses incurred by participants in connection therewith.
