Preschool and Elementary Extended Day Information
The Preschool and the Elementary Extended Day Program are both outreach
ministries of the Mariemont Church and teach simple Christian truths and values.
The preschool is also a traditional program for children ages 2, 3, 4, or 5, and the
Extended Day Program is designed to be a support to parents who have children
currently enrolled in the Mariemont Elementary School.
Both programs help children develop social, emotional and cognitive skills while
engaging in various learning centers and participating in small and large group
activities. Children also enhance their motor skills while playing with manipulatives
and participating with indoor/outdoor activities.
We believe the foundations for academic success are laid through building self
confidence, allowing the child to progress at his/her own pace, and providing a
Elementary Extended Day Program- The week day extended care program begins at
7:00am and then at 8:20, the children are transported to school. At 3:20pm, the
children are picked up from school and transported to our center. The center
remains open until 6:00pm. The program only operates when the Mariemont
Elementary School is in session. Costs: $5/before school session, $12/ after
school session.
5 day fours: Five day four year old classes are from 9:00-11:30 a.m. Or 12:30-3:00
p.m. Children must turn four by September 30th. Children are prepared for
kindergarten through academic, social and emotional, and small/large motor
learning activities. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the teachers work with the children
individually with their academics. Children attend field trips and celebrate holidays
throughout the school year. (ratio: 2 teachers, 18 children.) Cost: $2,100

4 day fours: Four day four year old classes are held on Monday-WednesdayThursday-Friday. 9:00-11:30 a.m. Or 12:30-3:00 p.m. Children must turn four by
September 30th. Children are prepared for kindergarten through academic, social
and emotional, and small/large motor learning activities. On Thursdays, the
teachers work with the children with their academics. The children attend field trips
and celebrate holidays throughout the school year. (ratio: 2 teachers, 18 children.)

a.m. or 12:30-3:00 p.m. Children must turn three by September 30th. Children
participate in group activities, fine and gross motor activities, and academic

2 teachers 14 children.)

Children are exposed to books, music, art, blocks and manipulatives in a sheltered
environment. Children celebrate holidays throughout the year. Toilet training is not
required. (ratio: 2 teacher, 12 children. ) Cost $1,100 Registration: $100
Cultural Class: Available to only children enrolled in our four year old classes. The
class begins with extra indoor/outdoor play time then, they eat a packed lunch
provided by parents. After lunch, they have a group time and finish the class with a
large group center time. The class curriculum is based on learning about children
from around the world in regards to what they like to eat and play, the language
they speak, and basic lessons on their culture. Costs: $15 per day
Science class: Available only to children enrolled in our four year old classes. The
class begins with extra indoor/outdoor play time then, they eat a packed lunch
provided by parents. After lunch, they have a group time and finish the class with a
large group center time. The class curriculum is based on simple science lessons
and experiments. Cost: $15 per day
Preschool Before School Care: Available to all children enrolled in the preschool.
The class meets every day from 8:30-9:00am. The children play with materials that
are in the sensory room. At 9am, the children are walked to their classrooms. Cost
$5/day.
Preschool After School Care: Available to all children enrolled in the preschool. The
class meets every day from 11:30a-1:00pm. The class begins with a packed lunch
provided by parents, next the children play with games and puzzles in the class
room. They finish up the aftercare with indoor/outdoor play. Costs: $10 per day
