TOUGH LOVE
The law of Christ based on godly love does not
supplant a law based on justice. It goes further. It demands
the living out of what we say in the Lord’s Prayer: “Forgive
us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against
us.” Isn’t this “hard bargain” really the “tough love” of the
Holy Trinity? Beginning always with love, God calls,
encourages and strengthens us to share the great mystery of
divine life. By our actions we express our answer to God’s
call.
What are you doing during Lent to prepare yourself spiritually?
How about attending the Living Christ Retreat!
Take the dive and experience how you can not only enrich your
faith, but also meet fellow parishioners. The retreat is
scheduled for March 14th and 15th here at Seton.
March 14th: 5:45-10pm (includes dinner)
March 15th: 8am-5pm (includes breakfast and lunch)
Sign-ups are taking place this weekend in the gathering place
after all Masses or contact MaryJane Sobczyk 614-833-0485 or
email her at mjsobczyk@setonparish.com.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity.

FIFTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
Pastor’s Reflection
The Feasibility Study for our Renovation project is now
underway. This past week the Development Office of the
Diocese of Columbus interviewed a random sampling of
parishioners in order to gather feedback both about our parish as
well as the upcoming Renovation of our parish church. In
addition to the interviews, a mail survey will now be mailed to
all registered parish households. This packet will include an
introductory letter as well as another copy of the Case Statement
that clearly expresses the proposed renovations, repairs and
improvements to our church. Through this survey, you can
provide your thoughtful feedback. All surveys will be kept
100% confidential. Your thoughts and comments are invaluable.
It is my hope that you will consider these proposed
improvements with an open heart and mind. This is now an
opportunity to respond to the needs of our time and the
challenges of being a strong parish so that we can continue to
serve the needs of those who come to us in the years ahead.

and willing to assist us, please contact John Bernard at 614-8330482, ext. 223 or by e-mail at jbernard@setonparish,.com and
provide him with your contact information. If there is a ‘best’
time or a particular Mass you would be specifically interested in
helping with, let him know that too.
