Instructions for Preparing Abstracts for the Conference NANOHARD 2009,

This set of instructions is in the style and format to be used by authors preparing abstracts for
NANOHARD 2009. Please follow this example and these instructions when typing your abstract.
THE FILE MUST NOT EXCEED 2 Mb. The abstract file can be sent as an attached file to:
nanohard@nanohardbg.eu until the deadline submission March 25th, 2009.
The filename and the mail subject must be: NANOHARD 2009_ J. Smith.doc (i.e. is the abstract
submitted by J. Smith to the Conference NANOHARD 2009; J. Smith sends a mail to
nanohard@nanohardbg.eu with NANOHARD2009_J.Smith as the subject and attaches the
NANOHARD 2009_J. Smith. doc file to the mail)
The abstract should be prepared as a Microsoft Word, version Word 95, Word 97, Word
2000 or XP. The abstract should be written in English and should be single-spaced throughout.
Abstract format is Times New Roman, 12 point font. The abstract can be a maximum of two (2)
pages, including figures and tables, size A4 (i.e. 210 x 297 mm) with 2.5 cm margins on all four
sides. All figures, including captions, should be on the last page. Figures should be saved as .bmp,
.gif, jpeg, .pict. or .tif, and inserted into the abstract. The abstract should be headed by the title,
author(s), affiliation(s) and address(es). The abstract should also contain address, telephone
number, fax number and e-mail address to the corresponding author. Underline the name of the
corresponding author. Begin the text two lines below the last line of the author/affiliation section.
The topic and preferable presentation (oral or poster) should be noticed on the left bottom
corner of the page.
References should be listed as below

Figures should be saved as BMP, GIF, JPEG, PCX, PICT, PNG or TIFF and inserted in the last
page of the abstract submission.
Deadline: March 25, 2009 (date of receipt)
The corresponding author will be notified of the committee’s decision on the submitted
abstract(s) by April 05, 2009. Authors whose abstracts are accepted will be asked to submit
manuscripts for full paper before the Conference with deadline May 05, 2009. Typing and layout
instructions can be found on the web page of the conference.
