Range 1.2 processes – degrease, pickle, flux, galvanise, quench, finish. Air discharge health hazards and environmental aspects are identified, and controls are described in accordance with regulatory and/or legislative requirements and company procedures. Outcome 2 Demonstrate knowledge of liquid discharges at a hot dip galvanizing facility. Evidence requirements 2.1 Types of liquid discharge are identified in relation to processes and in accordance with company procedures. Range processes – degrease, pickle, flux, galvanise, quench, rinse. 2.2 Storm water discharges are described in terms of regulatory compliance. 2.3 Health hazards and environmental aspects of liquid discharges are identified, and controls are described, in accordance with regulatory and/or legislative requirements and company procedures. Sludge waste health hazards and environmental aspects are identified, and controls are described, in accordance with company procedures.
