Bios Bill Longley, Legislative Counsel, Texas Municipal League - Bill graduated from the University of Richmond in 2004 with a degree in political science and sociology. In 2007, he received his Juris Doctor degree from The University of Texas School of Law. While in law school, Bill worked as a legal clerk for TML, and clerked at an insurance litigation firm in Austin. He served as an assistant attorney general in the Open Records Division of the Office of Attorney General before joining TML as legal counsel. Victor Gonzales, CMO, Councilmember, Pflugerville - Victor Gonzales is a native resident of Pflugerville and presently lives three blocks from the house he grew up in on Railroad Avenue. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin. As a native of Pflugerville, Gonzales understands the hometown feeling. From a community of 272, to now more than 50,000 in population, Gonzales has been an integral part of the dynamic growth of the Pflugerville community. He is an avid proponent of “Green” initiatives, being very active in pushing Pflugerville’s first single stream recycling program to advocating for the city’s first animal control supervisor and improved facilities and expansion of the Community Library. Gonzales is currently active in a number of public and civic organizations. He is the President of the Pflugerville Education Foundation, a member of the Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce, and was recently elected Chair of the Travis-Williamson Country Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) Regional Council. He also serves as Region 10 Director for the Texas Municipal League (TML), TML Executive Committee, and is a member of Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO). John E. King, CMO, Mayor, Rockdale - John King was elected Mayor in May 2013. He is a native Texan having grown up in a small town similar to the size of Rockdale. He served 20 years in the US Air Force retiring as a Captain. He earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Oklahoma State University and a master's degree in electrical engineering from The Air Force Institute of Technology. He owned a computer manufacturing company until retiring at the end of 1995. He and his wife Ann have lived in Rockdale since 1981. They have three children and six grandchildren. Two of their children reside in Rockdale. Adam McCane, Partner, Assurance Services, Weaver - Adam McCane, CPA, has a decade of experience in public accounting. He serves as the audit engagement partner for public and private companies, primarily in the oil and gas, financial services and government sectors. Authoring numerous articles for professional and business publications, Adam provides valuable technical and industry insights. Adam is an active local member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, he is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association Special Review Committee and serves on the Finance Committee for the Presbyterian Night Shelter of Tarrant County. Adam earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Texas Christian University. William Michael Rodgers, CPA, Director of Finance and Administration, Webster - Michael has been the director of finance and administration for the City of Webster since December 2006. Prior to that, he held several different titles over six years for the City of Denton. He currently serves as President-Elect of the Government Finance Officers Association of Texas. Michael is a Certified Public Accountant, and sole proprietor of William Michael Rodgers, CPA. He received his bachelor of business administration in accounting from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 1990. Micki Rundell, Chief Financial Officer, Georgetown - Micki is the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Georgetown, a community of 55,000 approximately 30 miles north of Austin. She has been with the City of Georgetown since 1993, and currently oversees all city financial areas including accounting, debt management, purchasing and long-range financial planning, as well as other city support areas including customer care, fleet management and information technology. Micki is a Texas Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO) and is a graduate of the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in Belton. She is a long-term member of GFOA and currently serves on the GFOA’s standing Debt Committee. Micki is also active on the state level and is a past president of the Texas Government Finance Officers Association.
