Responsibilities:
 Developing and review of Welding procedures, Inspection Procedures and
ITPs
 Responsible for inspection of Water Wall Panel of BHEL TRICHY UNDER THE
STANDARDS SQP: PP 06: REV07, QCP: 001 REV06, SIP: PP 02.
 Conduct VT of welds during modification and maintenance works.
 Preparation of QC reports and test dossiers.
 Welding Inspection of Mainline / Tie-In & Repair Weld (Automatic + Manual)
 Welding Consumable Storage Inspection and Certificates verification
 Radiographic film interpretation and evolution in compliance with
Relevant codes.
 Co- Ordination with NDT /PWHT Crew
 All quality inspection activities accordance with IBR & ASME / ANSI, and Client
project specification. Conduct and witness of procedures and welder qualifications of
SMAW and GMAW.
 Film interpretation of Radiographs throughout the project, for above mentioned all
Projects. Submission of Radiographs and NDE reports to client inspectors, as an
Internal UT Cross checker, assigning job to NDT crew.
 Material Identification by using Spectro Machine.
 Well conversant with Material Specification for Tubular Products as per
Vessel Code ASME Section II Part A.
Pressure
 Well Conversant with Various Arc Welding Process like SAW, GMAW, And
GTAW process.
 IBR certificates for Pressure Parts.
 Coordinating with customer (NTPC) for offering the Product As per Contract Quality
Plan.
 Materials classification / color coding identification, Review and approve relevant
quality control documents.
 Inspect the hydro test of panels(straight & bend) as per IBR
 Visual Inspection & Orientation Checking
