Estenda Solutions, Inc. software to be used for Lanai Community Health
Center’s Liver/Hepatitis Registry
Conshohocken, PA- 12/3/2013 – Lanai Community Health Center, located on Lanai, the
smallest of the major Hawaiian Islands, will use Estenda’s Comprehensive Disease Management
Program (CDMP) as the registry for screening and treating Lanai’s at-risk-for Hepatitis B and C
population. The island of Lana`i, recently purchased by Oracle’s CEO, Larry Ellison, has about
3,100 residents living on its 140-square-mile expanse.
“We can improve both Hepatitis B and C with treatment, but most [people living on Lanai} don’t
know they have it,” said Dr. Joe Humphry, Medical Director and Director of Quality for Lanai
Community Health Center. “There is a disconnect between organizations focused on population
screening for Hepatitis B and linking patients that are found to have active disease or require
immunization, and providers who can coordinate care,” said Humphry. “CDMP supports the
screening effort and established a registry for follow up accessible by the provider and
specialist.”
