The International House
Built in 1931 by Dr. and Mrs. Parley P.
Womer, the home was for several years the
private residence of the former Washburn
president and his wife. After their deaths,
The house features a magnificent living
room, 44 by 22 feet with a balcony on two
sides, huge fireplace and beamed ceiling.
Dark wood and black wrought iron of the
balustrade and the chandelier enhance the
Spanish architecture. Cultural artifacts and
art works from many countries are displayed
throughout the house. A fully equipped and
modern kitchen enables guests at the
International House to be entertained with
formal dinners, teas, receptions or simples
refreshments.
