Post holders will be expected to be flexible in undertaking the duties and responsibilities attached to their post and may be asked to perform other duties, which reasonably correspond to the general character of the post and are commensurate with its level of responsibility. Main responsibilities: 1. To work with businesses and investors to create a world class and thriving economy for North Lincolnshire and develop the area a Global gateway for business. 2. To prepare and implement a regeneration and economic development strategy to meet the council’s corporate plans. 3. To advise and provide guidance to the council on all economic and regeneration policy and matters. 4. To lead and direct development projects and initiatives to deliver economic development and regeneration. 5. To lead and represent the council on all economic policy with regional and subregional partners, Local Enterprise Partnerships, Government Office Departments, private investors and developers. 6. To represent the council and maximise opportunities to work jointly with partners to deliver major programmes to support social enterprises and to develop skills strategies. 7. To develop and strengthen the council’s economic position within the region and subregion and to ensure that North Lincolnshire’s interests are represented within the Regional Economic Strategy and city region/sub regional programmes and processes. 8. To raise the profile of North Lincolnshire in European, national and regional forums to secure long term inward investment benefit. 9. To lead and direct the work of the Planning and Regeneration Service and to meet corporate strategies and targets within defined budgets. 10.
