Justification for action
The Summer Institute Series was created to bring ongoing professional development to UWW
education graduate students and teachers within driving vicinity of UWW. There are a number
of licensed teachers in the vicinity of UWW that use the Summer Institute series as a primary
source of professional development and meeting requirements for continued licensure. The topic
for the Institute Series is chosen by the Department of Special Education in response to research
1
and policy in the field of special education. The topic changes every year as do instructors.
Participants will never get the same course content more than once.
