Justification for action The Summer Institute Series was created to bring ongoing professional development to UWW education graduate students and teachers within driving vicinity of UWW. There are a number of licensed teachers in the vicinity of UWW that use the Summer Institute series as a primary source of professional development and meeting requirements for continued licensure. The topic for the Institute Series is chosen by the Department of Special Education in response to research 1 and policy in the field of special education. The topic changes every year as do instructors. Participants will never get the same course content more than once. III.
