The company plays a supporting role in the operational readiness of the nation's nuclear deterrent on board the Vanguard class Trident Submarines and provides the Ministry of Defence (MoD) with safe, efficient and responsive support, while meeting programme and cost targets. LMUK SS, as part of the ABL Alliance with AWE and Babcock, are now responsible for the management of operations at the Royal Naval Armaments Depot Coulport (RNAD(C)). The MOD retains ownership and control of the site. An opportunity has arisen within LMUK SS for a SharePoint Developer to work as an integral member of the Technology Services Team. The SharePoint Developer will be responsible to the Technology Services Manager. Due to MoD requirements successful candidates will be required to undergo a security clearance check. Specific Job Description: The responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist the SharePoint Developer in day-to-day administration Provide support to SharePoint Site Owners in maintaining their sites Take an active role in promoting SharePoint Solutions across the business Take ownership of SharePoint related requests submitted to the IT Service Desk Creation of user guides for non-technical audiences Testing SharePoint Systems Standard Job Description: Assist the SharePoint Developer with supporting the current SharePoint Systems within the business. This will include problem solving to eradicate any system issues. Involved in the implementation of new SharePoint system across the business. This will include planning, requirement gathering, documenting, testing and debugging any systems that are within SharePoint. Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the development life cycle. Required Skills: Demonstrate a knowledge of general IT skills Knowledge of the software lifecycle A high level of interest in IT and a keenness to learn more Motivated to learn Good communication skills both verbal and written including technical documentation Ability to work effectively on tight deadlines Desirable Skills: Experience with SharePoint 2010 Experience with InfoPath Experience with Nintex workflows software Typical Minimum Education & Experience: Higher level pass in English & Information Technology or similar.
