Job Description CTC Manager Base: 511 Walsgrave Rd Grade: E Hours: 37 hours Accountable for: Training Administrator Trainers Job Summary The Manager’s role is to manage all aspect of CTC. CTC is part of the Life Path Trust family that delivers training mainly but not exclusively to staff employed in the group. The Life Path Trust family exists to enable Citizens with a learning disability to feel valued and fulfil their lives. A key role of the Manager is; 1. 2. 3. To support staff to gain relevant knowledge for their role Enable staff to achieve relevant accredited qualifications Ensure that training is of a high quality for all Life Path group staff and volunteers To manage CTC’s resources – financial and staff 4. Required Outcomes 1 Staff to gain relevant knowledge 1.1 1.2 All staff will have opportunities to gain knowledge required as part of their induction to their role All staff will be able to undertake training specific to their role. 1.3 For staff who directly support citizens, there will be opportunities to gain skills and knowledge in specific areas e.g. Autism, behaviour that challenges or epilepsy. Task which will support these outcomes include: Provide training courses through a variety of media Face to face teaching One to one tuition On line learning resources 2. Accredited qualifications 2.1 CTC to be registered to provide accredited qualifications with suitable awarding bodies 2.2 CTC will offer a range of accredited qualifications required by organisations supporting people with a learning disability 2.3 Organisations use accredited qualifications 2.4 Learners to achieve accredited qualifications Tasks which will support these outcomes include: Monitor the training delivered to ensure that it is of a high standard Comply with the requirements of awarding bodies to be able to deliver accredited training. Plan and deliver course that meet accreditation requirements. Be able to mark course work to the required accreditation requirements. Undertake internal verification to the standards required. 3. High quality training for all 3.1 CTC will maintain accredited status with one or more awarding bodies 3.2 Trainees will report that training is of a high standard 3.3 Training will be offered to a range of organisations not just in the care sector who will recognise the high quality 3.4 Relevant training opportunities will be available to all staff roles in the Life Path Group Task which will support these outcomes include: Meet the requirements of awarding bodies including marking and verification of trainees work Undertake surveys and collect feedback from trainees and their managers Participate and support all training including induction training and sourcing specialist courses Work with Life Path HR Manager to assess training needs and source training. Provide report for Life Path Trust, trustees via the committee structure. 4. Manage CTC resources 4.1 CTC operates within its agreed budget 4.2 CTC generate income as agreed 4.3 Staff within CTC deliver a high quality service Tasks which will support these outcomes include: Maintain financial records Manage spending in line with the budget Promote CTC Generate sales of training courses to organisations other than Life Path Trust.
