INTERNSHIP/JOB OPPORTUNITY Posting ID: I010816 Company: The Institute for Advanced Composite Manufacturing Innovation (IACMI) Company Website: https://www.orau.org/ College Major(s): All College Level: Undergrads, and Graduates New Summer Advanced Composite Manufacturing Innovation (IACMI) Internships Available at Multiple Locations The Institute for Advanced Composite Manufacturing Innovation (IACMI) has launched a new summer internship program for undergraduate and graduate students interested in learning more about advanced composites technologies to aid in the creation of low-cost and energyefficient manufacturing. Summer 2016 IACMI internship participants will have the opportunity to use state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and interact with scientists and engineers who are at the top of the advanced composites and manufacturing fields. Program participants will receive a weekly stipend ($600 for undergraduates, and $750 for graduate students) for the duration of the program, a housing allowance up to $175 weekly, and travel limited expenses to-and-from the internship site. Interested applicants will have the opportunity to apply for internships at one of five IACMI partner locations: Composite Materials for Compressed Gas Storage – Dayton, Ohio Design, Modeling and Simulation – West Lafayette, Indiana Composite Materials and Process – Knoxville, Tennessee, Nashville, Tennessee, and Lexington, Kentucky Composite Materials for Wind Turbines – Golden, Colorado Composite Materials for Vehicles – Detroit, Michigan Program requires that applicants must: · Be U.S. citizens · Be current undergraduate or graduate students in good standing at a regionally accredited U.S. college or university · Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 or the equivalent as verified by transcripts · Be at least 18 years old at the time of the appointment · Provide proof of health insurance coverage (the opportunity to purchase health insurance through ORAU will be offered) Marian Mason | Internship & Career Services Coordinator | marian.mason@unlv.edu | http://www.unlv.edu/engineering/opportunities Application deadline: March 15th, 2016.
