Early Intervention Services may include
Our Preschool Early Intervention Program and
Services are provided to eligible young children
in Centre, Clearfield and Clinton County who are
between the ages of 3 years old and the age of
beginners in the school district of residence. All
early intervention services are family focused
and provided at no cost to children with special
needs and their families.
The CIU#10 Preschool Early Intervention
Program offers free screenings which may help
determine if the child is demonstrating age
appropriate development in the areas of
cognitive, speech/language, motor, self-help
and social skills. Screenings are always
confidential and reviewed with the parents.
Parents and Preschool EI staff decide together
if a child should be further evaluated by a
multidisciplinary team to determine the child’s
eligibility for services.
If a child qualifies for Early Intervention services,
the team will make recommendations identifying
programs and services to meet the child’s needs.
