POSITION TITLE: RN- Clinic Supervisor–Pain Center RESPONSIBLE TO: Service Line Director Oncology/Pain DATE: December 1, 2015 JOB SUMMARY: The Clinic Supervisor is a professional registered nurse who directs and/or performs nursing care to patients assigned to his/her within the scope of his/her license while overseeing the day to day operations of the Pain Center. The Clinic Supervisor RN must effectively prescribe, delegate, and coordinate care for the patient population of the Pain Center, including all aspects of the daily operations of the center, both clerical and clinical. The Clinic Supervisor achieves financial objectives by meeting with the Service Line Director and analyzing annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions; auditing patient and department records. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work environment is located in a comfortable indoor area. Conditions such as noise, odors, cramped workspace and/or fumes could sometimes cause discomfort. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing with at least 2 years experience Currently licensed to practice as a professional registered nurse in the state of Missouri. This individual should be knowledgeable regarding growth and development and assessing the physical and psychological needs of patients in the following stages of life: early adulthood, middle age, and geriatric.
