WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
All graduands are required to be SUITABLY DRESSED (PLEASE NOTE NO JEANS, SHORTS OR FLIPFLOPS) including appropriate
academic dress (cap, gown and hood). You will not be allowed to graduate without the correct academic dress.

COLLECT YOUR ACADEMIC DRESS
Report to Theatre (room CB4) in ATRiuM to collect your academic dress.

REGISTER AND COLLECT YOUR TICKETS
Your tickets will be available from the Reception Desk in the ATRiuM as you exit
the Theatre.
Either before 12:40 pm or
after the Ceremony
HAVE YOUR PHOTOGRAPH TAKEN
Photography is a drop in service at the ATRiuM, therefore you are able to have
your photograph taken before or after your Ceremony. The queue for
photography will be monitored and will close at approximately 12:40 pm, for
graduands attending Ceremony Two, to allow all graduands to proceed to St
Davids Hall in time to be seated for the Ceremony.

MAKE YOUR WAY TO ST DAVID’S HALL
St David’s Hall is a 10 minute walk from ATRiuM. The easiest way to get there is
through the St David’s shopping centre. For full directions please see over the
page.

TAKE YOUR SEATS
Graduands and Guests must check their tickets for details of the level and door
number they must enter the auditorium by. Graduands must enter separately
having submitted their ticket stubs to a Marshall. Both Graduand and Guest
tickets will have a specific seat number on them, and you will be shown to your
allocated seat. Please ensure that you keep your ticket, and that your seat number
corresponds with that on your ticket. DO NOT MOVE TO AN ADJOINING SEAT
WHICH MAY BE UNOCCUPIED.

BE ADMITTED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CHIEF STEWARD. PLEASE ENSURE
THAT YOU ARE ON TIME.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE AUDITORIUM, ST DAVID’S HALL – GRADUANDS ONLY
1.
On entering the auditorium your ticket will be collected by a Marshall, and you will be highlighted as in attendance.
2.
You will be shown to your seat, and must remain there unless given permission to leave by a Marshall.
3.
Prior to being presented, you will be directed towards the left-hand side of the stage by a Marshall.
4.
When your name is called by the Presenter, you should go onto the stage and proceed across the stage to be greeted by the
Chancellor or nominee with whom you will shake hands.
5.
When you have left the stage (from the right-hand side) you should remove your cap and place under your arm. Caps should
not be put on again during the Ceremony.
6.
On leaving the stage, you will be directed to the rear of the auditorium to collect your certificate and will return to your
original seat.
7.
You should remain seated in the auditorium until the end of the Ceremony. A Marshall will direct you from your seat to the
exit in turn.
FOLLOWING THE CEREMONY
Following the ceremony you must hand your academic dress (cap and gown) back at ATRiuM, you are able to do this anytime up
to 5pm. If you have not paid for extended hire and you fail to return your gown by 5pm it is your responsibility to send it back to
Ede and Ravenscroft. Don’t forget if you validate your parking ticket at the machine in the Reception of ATRiuM you will have a
reduction in the cost of your parking in the car park opposite the building.
WHAT ABOUT A PROGRAMME?
Complimentary programmes are available on the day and will be distributed when tickets are collected.

DIRECTIONS TO ST DAVID’S HALL FROM ATRIUM (approx 10 minutes walk)
1. After having your photographs taken exit ATRiuM from the rear entrance. Walk past the Student’s Union.
2. Turn left and walk under the bridge
3. At the traffic lights cross over the road to the left
4. Follow the signs for “Shopping Centre”
5. Enter the St David’s Shopping Centre at the Eastside door (to the left of TGI Friday’s)
6. Walk straight through the shopping centre, exiting out by “Crabtree and Evelyn” and “Parkhouse Jeweller”
7. After exiting the shopping centre turn to the right and walk approx 100 metres
8. Enter St David’s Hall under the big screen
