“Hi everyone!
My name is Team Parent Name and I'm the team parent for our 2014 Spring Enter
Division Team Name!
Enter in a brief introduction about yourself, your time with CYB, experience, kid(s) names
and division(s) if you want.
Spring Season To Do’s!
I'm sure most of you are aware of the spring baseball commitments for Opening Day as
well as Snack Shack. The items below that need to be turned in are due no later than
Enter Date. We will NOT receive our uniforms unless I turn in these items in to the
CYB Board by Feb 23rd.
Yellow = Money due – Cash is welcome, placed in a marked envelope for all items due,
except Snack Bar check. If you want to write a check, all monies due need to be written
on separate checks with the proper info written in the notes area - i.e. $20 check
written to CYB with "raffle tickets" written in the notes area; Please see instructions
below for further information.

Opening Day Celebration and Raffle!
Saturday March 7, 2015
9:00am - 3:00pm
Schedule as Follows:
• Opening Day Ceremony and Team Parade: 11:00am - 11:45am (we need to be
together and lined up no later than 10:45am)
• Team Picture time slot: TBD (every player must wear their FULL uniform)
Team Commitment:
• Each Shetland family must sign up to work a 2 hour shift at a game booth
• Each child is expected to sell $20 worth of tickets for the raffle. ($1/ticket)
• The person buying tickets keeps one half. You will turn in the other half (by the 22nd)

with their name and phone number listed on the BACK of the ticket.
If you would like to sell more than 20, just ask! We have extra!
For the first 20 tickets sold, your child gets a "super ticket"...an extra super ticket for
every extra 10 tickets sold thereafter. It is for their OWN super raffle!
A $10 dollar donation from each family for our raffle responsibility (Visa Gift Card; no
basket this year!). I will be purchasing the Visa gift card for the raffle, so please
either give cash or if you write a check, make it out to me: Team Parent Name.
***Shetland AND Pinto Teams WILL be assigned a basket, so this portion will
need to be changed to reflect that information***
4 families from each team in each division need to donate baked goods towards the
Bake Walk Game. You can bring the baked goods directly to the event. Please
let me know if you are willing to be one of the 4. More families are of course
always welcome. It's a very popular table and we always run out!
All ticket stubs, money collected from tickets as well as your $10 donation for our
raffle contribution is due no later than Enter Date.
***If you will not be attending Opening Day, please let us know ASAP. We will need to
know for pictures and booth scheduling. If you know you will not be there, you will need
to donate baked goods in lieu of working a booth slot. ***
Snack Shack Duty!
• Each family is responsible for Two 2-hour shifts per child playing.
• A $75 check made out to Carlsbad Youth Baseball is due to Team Parent Name no
later than Thursday's practice on Enter Date This check is NOT cashed and is
given back at the end of the season...UNLESS you fail to show up for your
scheduled shift! They WILL cash it if you're a no-show. This check must be
written separately from the $20 check for raffle tickets - that one will be cashed!
• You can also choose to have CYB cash the check if for some reason you really do not
want to work the snack shack this season. (It's really fun though!)
• There will be a schedule (it's not up yet), for sign ups on the CYB Website. An email
will be sent to you.
• Once they have it up and working on CYB I will send out a reminder email
• Once you are signed up, please contact me with your dates and times and it will add it
to my team calendar.
• If you have any teenagers at home in need of community service hours, they are
welcome to work your shift for you! Put those kids to work!
• When you, or your replacement, show up to the shift, they will need to sign in so Kari
can keep track of who showed.
UNIFORM
We will receive the jersey and hat from the league prior to Opening Day. However, CYB
will NOT allow me to pick up the uniforms until I have every item collected and turned in
to the league. We do team pictures in full uniform with a team banner on Opening Day,
so
it
is
vital
that
we
have
all
necessary
items
collected.
Your child will need:
 Enter Color baseball pants
 Enter Color baseball socks
 Enter Color baseball belt
 Every child must wear a cup, baseball cleats and have a batting helmet.
 "sliders" are highly recommended
After Game Snacks: (Pinto and Shetland only – Mustang if necessary)
I will be setting up a rotating schedule for post-game snacks. As soon as we receive our
game schedule, I will set up the snack schedule and send out to you all. For snacks please let me know if any of your children (siblings included) have any food allergies or
intolerances! I will note this on the schedule that is sent out.

FYI - Money for Coach’s gifts will be collected toward the end of the season. –
