Cornell Notes: Role of Minorities and Roosevelt’s Critics
Introduction:
The Great Depression continued throughout the 1930s, as did
the New Deal. Remember the

Even though ethnic minorities suffered greatly during the 1930s, there were still some political
improvements for ethnic minorities as well as women.

Roosevelt was upset that the Supreme Court had declared part of his New

In 1937, the economy was doing much better. But then Roosevelt cut

V. Roosevelt’s Critics:
Roosevelt’s New Deal had its critics. Some felt he was doing enough, others felt that
Roosevelt had over stepped his bounds and had taken on too much power. Some of the most
outspoken critics are:
