Athletic Hall of Fame
Any alumnus or friend may submit a nomination to be considered for the SMR Hall of Fame.
Eligibility:
1. All nominees, to include coaches and administrators, must have a minimum of a 5 year association with St.
Mary’s Ryken and the Athletic program.
2. Athletes and managers who are graduates of St. Mary’s Ryken High School must have graduated no less than 5
years prior to nomination. (Ryken High School or St. Mary’s Academy graduates, no restriction applied)
3. The nominee has exhibited in his/her life the principals and qualities consistent with the 5 charisms including
humility, zeal, compassion, trust and simplicity of St. Mary’s Ryken.
Criteria:
1. To be selected for induction, athletes must have made significant contributions on the basis of playing ability,
sportsmanship and leadership to their team and school.
2. To be selected for induction, coaches must have contributed significantly to the success of school athletics and
must have contributed to the promotion of sound educational values in their athletes while coaching at St.
Mary’s Ryken.
3. To be selected for induction, administrators and managers must have made special contributions to the
improvement, betterment or best interest of St. Mary’s Ryken.
