Scholarship Policy
Purpose:
The College Alumni Association, in accordance with the mission of the organization, will provide scholarships
to deserving students in an effort to promote education for future or current health care providers. In addition,
scholarships will establish and maintain relationships with current or former students of the College.
Scope:
Information concerning the Alumni Scholarships will be listed on the College website with other available
scholarships. Any student meeting the criteria may apply. Students will complete an application and submit it
to the Financial Aid office. Although qualified applicants may apply for more than one scholarship, only one
Alumni Association Scholarship will be granted per person per fiscal year. Incomplete applications will not
be considered. Sex, race, creed or nationality shall not be factors in making award decisions.
The scholarship recipient will be notified of their selection by the Office of Financial Aid. They will be
encouraged to attend the annual Alumni Reunion Day to be recognized. The amount of the awards will be
determined each year during the Alumni Association budget process.
Criteria:
The recipients must
 Be enrolled at the Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences.
 Have a demonstrated need for financial assistance.
 Be making successful progress toward completion of the program verified by Grade Point Average
(GPA).
 Be a US citizen or eligible alien.
 Submit a recommendation from a current PA College faculty member.

4. Alumni Association Scholarship for Alumni Continuing their Education

Alumni Association Scholarship Application
Eligibility
The Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences’ Alumni Association offers four scholarships to students. Eligibility for each
scholarship/award is based on the following criteria: academic program, satisfactory academic progress, 3.0 GPA,
minimum of 12 college credits completed, demonstrated financial need (FAFSA or current IRS1040) and a
recommendation by a current PA College faculty member. Only one scholarship will be awarded to each of the four
successful applicants. Incomplete applications will not be considered. The application deadline is May 1.
