My Brother Knights,
I want to welcome the 12 new Sir Knights who joined the Fourth Degree either at the Priests Exemplification on 21 March or the Main Exemplification on 11
April. Both Exemplifications were beautiful ceremonies.
I ask that you keep our Worthy Master, John Winfrey and Lady Gloria and their family in your prayers for the loss of their grandson, Anthony, on 15 April.
I also want to thank all of the Sir Knights/Assembly members that came out for the Exemplifications. Your presence was greatly appreciated.
The District Chili Cook-off that was scheduled for Saturday, 18 April after the 5 PM Mass at St. George’s Church in Valley Lee, has been postponed until the fall timeframe. That will give you even more time to hone those recipes.
Please set Sunday, 14 June (Flag Day) on your calendars. After the
Leonardtown Flag Day events, we will hold our Annual Flag Day Awards Dinner at the Victorian Candle in Hollywood. The dinner begins at 8 PM.
Remember that this month’s meeting is at St. John Francis Regis Council
#7914 at 7:30 PM on Thursday, 21 May.
Lastly, I received the high honor of the Archdiocese of Washington District (AWD)
Sir Knight of the Year at the Exemplification Banquet on 11 April. It takes a great
Assembly behind me to have received this award. I want to thank all of you for your support.
