INSURANCE
North West Junior Soccer Association Incorporated does not cover players or persons
associated with member schools. This is the responsibility of the parents or school. The
F.F.S.A. provides an insurance cover for an additional fee.

 Adelaide Shores: Corner West Beach Road and Military Road, West Beach
 Jubilee Park: Bartley Terrace, West Lakes Shore.
 St Clair Oval: Actil Avenue, Woodville.
DELEGATES



All Schools must nominate/register as members.
The Membership Application must be completed correctly, signed and returned.
Each school must nominate a Delegate.
DELEGATES MEETING

Held Monday nights, refer 2015 calendar for dates, 7.00pm start, at Seaton Park Primary
school (located at 80 Balcombe Ave, Seaton).
 School Participation Registration night (Information Night) 23rd February, 2015
 FIRST DELEGATES MEETING 30th March 2015
 A representative from each school is required to attend each of the 5 meetings.
 It is designed so that the committee and the schools can communicate and pass on any
relevant information.
 Interaction can make this organisation and its program run efficiently.
 A deposit of $200.00 is required and will only be refunded to delegates attending the A.G.M.
less $40.00 for every Delegate meeting not attended. Delegates will be allowed one missed
meeting with no penalty during the year for an unexpected emergency (NOT THE A.G.M.).

IF NO DELEGATE ATTENDS THE AG.M. ALL REMAINING DEPOSIT WILL BE
FORFEITED.

The $200.00 meeting fee is due 30th March 2015

New members are welcome to join, assist and improve the running of the association.
FEES STRUCTURE




U/6 Team fee is $130.00 per team
U/7 – U/11 Team fees are $210.00 per team
U/12 & Senior Team fees are $250.00 per team
Meeting fee of $200.00 (refunded if a representative attends all 5 meetings) must be paid on
the 30th March 2015.

National Registration Fee (NRF) and FFSA Development levy. Total $24.00 (GST Inclusive) per
player not registered with a current club. Schools will be invoiced directly by FFSA
 FFSA require all players have a minimum of Part Insurance cover either by their
school or provided by FFSA at an additional $9.00 per player.
TEAM NOMINATION AND PLAYER REGISTRATION






The Registrar must receive all the Team Nominations and Player Nominations by the 30th
March 2015
All Teams must have a coach nominated with their team nomination.
All players must be registered.
Players are registered at the beginning of the season by being listed on the My Football Club
website. Players in the Under 12 & Senior competitions will need a photo of the player, no
more than 2 years old, attached to the registration card downloaded from Report section of
MyFootballClub website. Player’s date and year of birth must be supplied when registering
players.
Registration cards must be available at all U12 and Senior games.
Team Nominations will not be accepted if the number of players listed for that team is below
the minimum allowed. Minimum number of players per team allowed is as follows: U6– 4
players. U7, 8 and 9 – 7 players. U10 – 9 players. U11 – 10 players. U12 and Senior – 11
players.
NOTE: We require all schools have a coach, manager and a designated first aid person at each
game.

The age the player turns during the current calendar year is the players age group, e.g. if they
turn 9 during the calendar year they are an Under 9.
The registrar will not accept the registration of any player who is under the age of 5 on 31 st
December in the year prior to the current season, if that player is not enrolled and attending
full-time at reception level at primary school.
No player is permitted to play more than one age group above his/her actual age group.
(Players turning 5 years old during the year cannot play up in the Under 7 age group or can a 6
year old play up in the Under 8 age group).
A player will only be permitted to play down an age group if he/she has special needs. A
supporting letter from both the school principal and a doctor, stating why the player needs to
play in a lower age group, must be received by the Registrar.
Further conditions for overage player approval:






No more than two over age players may play for any one team.
The player is not currently playing soccer for any other school, club or association.
No over-age player will be registered for the under 6 age groups.
The player must be of similar ability to others in that age group.
The player must not be a danger to others in that age group.
On any Match day, only 2 overage players shall be named on the Team Sheet.
Coaches are not to play over or under age players without NWJSA approval, if a player is
injured the coach will be held responsible.
Player Transfers Between Schools
Players may be transferred from a member school to another member school under
the following conditions:

The transfer is for the purpose of ensuring adequate player numbers in a team

The transferring players school cannot accommodate those players in any of its teams

The prescribed Player Transfer form has been completed by both schools and has been
submitted to the registrar

The Registrar gives written approval of the Player Transfer.
COACH’S REGISTRATION MORNING


Saturday, 2nd May 2015 Coach’s registration morning (8:30am - 9:30am under 6, 7, 8 & 9),
(9:30am -10:30am under 10, 11, 12 & 13) to be held at Seaton Park Primary School.
First program will be distributed.
ALL COACHES MUST ATTEND TO REGISTER
COACHING COURSE
Free Grassroots course 2nd May from 10am – 1:00pm on offer for all member coaches including
coaching booklet
NWJSA encourages all U6, U7, U8 & U9 team coaches or managers to attend.
REFEREE’S NIGHT






Held Monday nights, 6.30pm-8.00pm, at the rear of Seaton Park Primary school (located at 80
Balcombe Ave, Seaton).
Dates of meetings on N.W.J.S.A. calendar.
Designed for any person who may need to update themselves or is confused by the laws/rules
of the game.
It is also an opportunity for those who wish to take up the role of referee.

STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS


To be held on the 6th-8th June 2015 at West Beach.
Organised by the South Australian Junior Soccer Association.
SMOKING POLICY
This statement applies to all persons on NWJSA venues during its soccer programmes:
The North West Junior Soccer Association is committed to promoting healthy lifestyle choices by
all concerned. As such, and in recognition of the need to minimise the effects of involuntary
inhalation of tobacco smoke, please refrain from smoking on grassed areas at all N.W.J.S.A
venues and in the canteen and it’s surrounds.
CHILD SAFE ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
The North West Junior Soccer Association stipulates that any person that holds a ‘Prescribed
Position’, as outlined below, involving a person 17 years of age or under must complete a criminal
history assessment which includes a police check. The exemption to undertaking a criminal history
assessment is also outlined below:
* A prescribed position is:
All people who have regular contact with children or regular work in close proximity to children
and are not directly supervised.
Manage or supervise such personnel.
Have access to records in relation to children that are prescribed by regulation (child protection
services, education services, health services, disability services, court orders, and proceedings).
** Exemptions:
A person who volunteers who is less than 18 years of age
A person working or volunteering for a short-term event or activity of less than 10 days duration
or for no more than 1 day in a month
A person occupying a position in which all work involving children in undertaken in the presence of
the child’s parents or guardians and in which there is ordinarily no physical contact with the
children
A person who undertakes, or a position that only involves, work that is not for the exclusive
benefit of children and is not provided to any child on an individual basis
A person who is a police officer or a registered teacher.
