There are a few things I do not like about this Center related to how things operate there. First, Center
works with NIH, and also trains military doctors at this site. I am not a fan of the NIH interns in
oncology. Interns in all the other departments were good. Second, scheduling can be a real hassle at
times. Third, sometimes when I makean appointment with my oncologist, someone re-schedules me
with someone else, either a PA or an intern. I suspect it has to do with the teaching aspect of the
hospital. I chose to go to Bethesda for continuity of care. This issue is very important to me. I do not
want to go through my whole medical history with someone new each time I go there. I’m pretty
insistent on this point. I may have to reschedule my appointment, which is aggravating, but I see my
doctor and not someone else. Please let me know if you have any questions.
