League of Women Voters volunteers are registering tens of thousands of new voters in local
communities nationwide, focusing on seeking out potential new voters at schools, bus stops,
grocery stores, baseball games, community centers, and more. Last Tuesday, September 25,
approximately 250 local League chapters joined more than a thousand national, regional, and
local organizations in participating in National Voter Registration Day (NVRD). This single day
of coordinated field, technology and media efforts aimed to create widespread awareness of voter
registration opportunities and upcoming deadlines. Altogether, NVRD’s nationwide network of
partners successfully helped nearly 300,000 Americans, and counting, register to vote.
The League remains committed to reaching and registering more voters in the time that remains.
Contact <your state contact person phone and website> for more information.
