Following Pieter’s very well-received presentation Neuroscience and the Memory Code – exploring the implications for Gestalt Therapy at the 2014 Gestalt Australia and New Zealand (GANZ) Conference in August 2014, practitioners have the opportunity to spend 2 days exploring the cutting-edge research in neuroscience with a passionate, entertaining and thoughtful presenter interested in how this information informs our work as human services professionals. Each of the days will involve formal teaching times, as well as lively conversation with Pieter and each other around the implications of the latest neuroscientific research on our human service practice and our lives. These conversations will be facilitated by the faculty of Gestalt Therapy Brisbane. We are keen to support all practitioners and modalities grapple with the intersection of Pieter’s work with the theory and methodology of our disciplines. Who should attend: This workshop is suitable for (but not limited to) mental health professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, therapists, counsellors and social workers and those who work with people who experience disability. There are no prerequisites to attending this workshop. Anyone interested in the workshop content is welcome to attend.
