The selection criteria for the National Honor Society are:

In order to apply, you must meet the standard of scholarship - 3.65 weighted cumulative GPA.
The standards of character, leadership and service will now be reviewed in a variety of ways through the
application process including this application, the CCHS faculty, and the NHS selection committee.
Complete the application form provided.
 Use only the space provided.
 The entire application must be typed.
APPLICATIONS THAT ARE NOT TYPED WILL NOT BE APPROVED.
 Ask four of your teachers to recommend you for NHS by filling out the brief online evaluation form by
February 28, 2014.

Make sure you and a parent read, sign and turn in the application to FA 625 by February 28, 2014 at
3pm.
LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED- PLAN AHEAD.
APPLICATIONS MISSING PARENT AND/OR STUDENT SIGNATURE WILL NOT BE
APPROVED.
I have read and to the best of my knowledge have completed the attached application. I understand that
submitting this application puts my name in consideration for membership, but does not guarantee I will
be accepted as a member.
If selected as a member of NHS, I agree to abide by guidelines and expectations established by the CCHS
Chapter of NHS, and school and district policies. I understand that failure to meet these expectations will
result in immediate expulsion from the chapter. The CCHS NHS Guidelines and Expectations Agreement
and the Cherry Creek School District Athletic and Activities Agreement can be found on the CCHS NHS

from courses, grades, test scores, and other objective data. It enables you to demonstrate your ability to organize thoughts and

We are interested in members who are willing to commit to the message behind National Honor Society, not
just a member in name only. It is important that you understand that you are applying for a commitment, and
that you do your part to uphold that commitment through hours of community service and tutoring. In order
