The Centre for Organizational Learning at Algonquin College is sponsoring 10 Support Staff to
attend this event coordinated by the Eastern Region College Committee on Human Resources
Development. This networking and professional development opportunity brings together support
staff from Algonquin, Durham, Fleming, Loyalist and St. Lawrence Colleges to further develop
personal skill sets and competencies. This year’s Conference theme is focused on ”Student
Success In A Changing Learning Environment” with workshop titles that include How to Connect to
& Manage Your Own & Other’s Emotions (EI), Changing Technologies, Better Decision Making &
Team Building with “Six Hats”, Creating A Culture of Customer Service Excellence and New
Digital Channels for Connecting with Students and closes with an inspirational Keynote speaker.

It is anticipated that more requests will be received to attend this Conference than there are spaces
available. All applications will be acknowledged and you will be notified no later than 2 October, 2012 and
asked to confirm your acceptance, if you have been chosen to attend. Please note that registration,
accommodation and meal costs are covered by the Centre for Organizational Learning. Travel costs are the
responsibility of your Department or School and the College encourages employees to car pool and to rent a
