This new companion course to GIRT will be offered for the first time in
2016. It was specifically designed to provide GI Fellows and
junior colleagues with a basic understanding of the core business
aspects of gastroenterology. This course will immediately follow the
conclusion of the main conference, resulting in an additional opportunity
for industry partners to connect not only with the GIRT audience of
physician leaders and administrators, but also with trainees and junior
colleagues. There will be a closing reception for the main GIRT conference
in the Exhibit Hall on Saturday afternoon. This will also serve as a
Welcome Reception for the attendees of the "Basics" companion course
which will start immediately following that reception. You may leave your
display up during this new Saturday afternoon reception, if you wish.
Industry Partners are welcome to attend the "Basics" companion course at
the same rate as other non-GI Fellow attendees ($150). The course is free
to GI Fellows. The agenda for this course is posted on the "Basics" tab of
the GIRT website.
