Office of Health and Medical Education Scholarship Cumming School of Medicine Health and Medical Education Scholarship Symposium February 17-18, 2016 CALL FOR ABSTRACTS The second Health and Medical Education Scholarship Symposium sponsored by the Office of Health and Medical Education Scholarship (OHMES) will be held at the Health Sciences Centre at the University of Calgary on February 17th and 18th, 2016. This symposium will showcase work in health and medical education research and innovation in Calgary and beyond, and is intended to encourage future collaborations among researchers with common interests in this critical area of research and innovation. Format The symposium is scheduled from 12.30pm on Wednesday February 17th to 12.30pm on Thursday February 18th 2015. We will feature a number of keynote speakers, oral presentations, workshops, a poster session, and an unconference. There will be a panel debate on the evening of Wednesday February 17th. Eligibility Faculty, staff, and students affiliated with a post-secondary institution are invited to submit abstracts based on health or medical education research, innovation, or scholarship. Works-in-progress will be considered provided that results will be available for presentation in February 2016. Abstract Submission Investigators interested in submitting an abstract for review must provide a brief overview of their research or innovation. The submission is limited to 250 words maximum, using the attached form as a template. Multiple submissions by collaborators are allowed, however a presenting author may only present one poster. Please submit the electronic document to ohmes@ucalgary.ca on or before the deadline of 4:00PM MST, 1st December, 2015. Authors of successful abstracts will be notified by early January.
