Nursing Research and Clinical Innovations Symposium 2016 – Abstract Submission Abstracts may be submitted through to Tuesday May 31, 2016. You will be notified of the final decision regarding your submission by Monday June 27, 2016 for the symposium which will be held on Tuesday September 13, 2016. Please follow the instructions below when completing the application. Once complete, please save* the form as your full name. If you are submitting more than two abstracts save each form as your full name and add a 1 or 2 etc to distinguish them. Email your form to nursing.research@rch.org.au. * Adobe versions Reader X and higher must be used to save the form. If you do not have access to this software, please print, scan, then email your abstract application. Abstract Submission Instructions SYMPOSIUM THEMES To assist with scheduling you are asked to nominate the theme to which your abstract most relates • Effective workforce – how we can work better • Patient safety – how we can keep patients safer • Consumer engagement – how we work together with patients and families • Clinical outcomes – how we improve the health care outcomes of patients and families PRESENTATION TYPE The following two presentation options will be exhibited at the symposium: Oral presentation: The presentation will be 10 minutes, plus 5 minutes question time. If accepted, only one oral presentation max will be offered for each presenter. Poster: a static display on a free standing board. Posters should be a minimum size of A3 up to a maximum size of A0 (size B1 recommended.) Lamination is optional. Colour is desirable. Note: If accepted, only two posters from each primary author/presenter can be accommodated in the poster display area. ABSTRACT REQUIREMENTS Requirements for abstract submission include: Abstracts must be recent, preferably having commenced or been completed in 2015 or 2016. Note: Existing posters arising from projects within the years mentioned above will be accepted. Abstracts should be thoroughly checked for spelling and grammar before submission. Abstracts are to be submitted below, but you may choose to type it in word before copy and pasting it. Verdana font style in size 9 is to be used. The abstract must have a title (maximum of 10 words.) The author(s) must be listed below the title including affiliations. Up to 3 key words must be provided that will assist in searching for the abstract and grouping of topic themes. The abstract must not exceed 250 words (excluding title, author and key words.) References are not required.
