On Friday, September 12th, scholars will be bringing home beginning of the school year testing data. If you attended the first Parent University, these assessments were reviewed. This information provides our teachers with the skills your scholar has mastered from the previous school year, as well as skills that he/she may be struggling with. Based on this data, we may be assigning additional supports such as after-school tutoring or Saturday school, so that we can ensure your scholar is academically successful. Shouts out to Mrs. Bales and Miss Cellini for holding Saturday school last weekend! Saturday schools are assigned to help scholars grow and reach their maximum potential. A parent interest meeting was held last week for families wanting to be a part of our Parent Teacher Organization. We have collected biographies of parents interested in running for office. Be on the look-out for ballots to be sent out soon. Our next Parent University on September 25th will focus on understanding Tindley Culture and Systems.
