POSITION SCOPE
The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator is a newly created position that will work with every
aspect of Marketing. The primary responsibility will be to build and strengthen the Amazing Grass
connection with our passionate consumers via all owned touch points – social, blog and
newsletters. Additionally, this position will aid in the execution of key marketing initiatives,
including but not limited to promotional/retail sweeps, tradeshows, sampling events, etc..
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Grow and Strengthen our online communities through Digital & Social
Media: Develop & curate brand relevant content for all social media channels that
increases our social footprint and drives stronger engagement.
2. Build out a passionate Consumer Community through: Consumer Relations Response:
timely on brand follow-up for all social and etailer channels (Facebook, Twitter, instagram,
Amazon, Iherb, Vitacost)
3. Utilize social listening tools and pull social analytics to provide insights and trends
to inform strategies and identify opportunities to grow the brand.
4. Be Our Jack of all Trades with general marketing coordination: support basic
marketing services needs of the department (coupon, vendor management, tradeshows,
etc.)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for this mission-critical position you must be/have:
 BS/BA in marketing, advertising, communications or related field














At least 1 year in social marketing role
Strong eye for creative sensibilities, visual storytelling, personalized copywriting
A social ‘native’ - Live and breath all things social with a constant finger on the pulse of
latest trends and platforms
Experience with social moderation tools (e.g. Hootsuite)
Proven ability to create engaging brand content leveraging latest platforms, software and
tools (Pixelmator, Studio, Hyperlapse, stop motion studio, flipgram)
Proficiency with MS word, excel, powerpoint, and outlook
Excellent written, oral and presentation skills are required
Analytic and project management skills
Self-starter and able to work independently in a less-structured environment
Must be creative and innovative with very high attention to detail
Act with sense of enthusiasm and urgency – a positive attitude required
Ability to work effectively under deadlines and juggle several assignments simultaneously
Proven capability for problem solving and never-ending resourcefulness; fearless
Passion for social and environmentally conscious lifestyle; organic food and beverages
