This position will be based in Amazing Grass’ offices in
Newport Beach, CA
The Vice President of Marketing will report to the CEO of
Amazing Grass.
Job Description
This position is responsible for executing the Company’s marketing
strategy. The strategy will include promotions, materials and
merchandising vehicles to display and sell the product, online and
traditional marketing to customers, and materials to train and
motivate sales consultants. This position requires a high-energy
individual who is experienced and skilled in strategic planning,
communication and leadership. They will collaborate with in-office
executives and sales managers to create, plan, organize, staff, train
and lead all marketing functions and programs to achieve our
Company objectives of sales, growth, profitability, and visibility while
ensuring a consistent brand image. They will manage a marketing
team to execute videos production, print campaigns, online
advertising campaigns, website development, blog content and
publishing, social media strategy and messaging, trade shows and
event planning, in-store marketing efforts to support product sales.
They must lead their team to meet critical deadlines and accomplish
goals under an established budget.
Essential Job Functions and Duties
Marketing Strategy and Execution
• Design, implement and facilitate annual marketing strategy and
supporting business systems for the Company’s entire product
portfolio to result in increased productivity, consistent sales
increases and growth.
• Coordinate the marketing strategy implementation to include
consistent brand messaging while developing and managing retail
promotions, online and multimedia advertising, national level
sampling, and events to generate product awareness, support
product launches, and philanthropic efforts.
• Develop and manage online advertising strategy with the goal of
increased web traffic and business opportunity leads to maximize
ROI . Plan, direct and buy all print, electronic and advertising
media.
• Develop and manage marketing budget
• Remain strategic, creative, energetic, tactical and program
oriented.
Market Research and Competitive Information
• Conduct and analyze market research to determine risk and
marketability of current products and new product lines.
• Plan and manage Focus Groups and other research for the
purpose of predicting sales trends and inventory needs.
• Responsible for competitive analysis, strategies and tactics.
PR and Image
• Create video and photo assets for branding and advertising.
• Assist in overseeing public relations, advertising (traditional and
online), celebrity management, online marketing.
• Ensure the proper amount and type of coverage is secured to raise
awareness, win reviews and maintain consistent corporate and
product branding image.
Online Marketing
• Develop and maintain a professional and inviting website,
employing the latest technology to encourage initial and repeat
visits.
• Develop a loyalty program to build and foster a loyal customer
base.
• Initiate and execute an online marketing strategy, including social
media, to optimize online review, conversations about the
brand and increased brand awareness
Management


Manage, develop and train staff of marketing professionals
around product development, branding, packaging, print
collateral, training, interactive marketing, and graphics.
Manage outside agency partners including event and
communications, social media marketing, online
advertising, interactive marketing, branding and public
relations.

This position will report to the CEO and work closely with the
sales team. The marketing process at Amazing Grass is very
collaborative; marketing and executives work closely
together. The ideal candidate will have experience working
in the nutrition industry, working with agencies and
executives, and managing a marketing department.
The VP of marketing must be extremely detailed, organized and a
thorough communicator. This position requires a self- starter with
good judgment who can learn about the Amazing Grass brand and
present solid marketing strategies. They must also be able to make
presentations to the President and the CEO. They need to be good
planners working with agendas and timelines.

10 years in the consumer packaged goods industry
Strong analytical, planning, forecasting, and profit and loss
experience.
