Ph.: Donna at Synapse on (07) 3137-7400 for further details. 2 Anna O’Callaghan- Speech pathologist, UQ Health and Rehab Overview of New Project A project is currently between UQ and the PAH which aims to pilot a new intervention technique for adults with receptive CCDs following traumatic brain injury (TBI). This intervention will consist of both targeted remedial and functional therapeutic techniques. Pre and post measures of cognitivecommunication proficiency and outcome measures of real world tasks will Document1 determine the interventions effectiveness. Impaired cognitivecommunication skills can affect the rehabilitation of a person with brain injury, their social re-integration, community independence, family interactions, successful employment and academic success.
