Do you remember that prom night in June of 1962 when we all dressed up and danced the night away to The
Rhondels? Well, here’s another chance to do it again. This year we’ll celebrate our 50th Reunion, and The
Original Rhondels are going to be there, and we hope you will, too!

Thursday, September 27 (casual)
DINNER AND A MOVIE with our fellow alumnus, Fred Shoenfeld, owner of the Commodore Theatre (and café) in
historicaly restored downtown Portsmouth. Fred is offering to his fellow classmates free admission for that night’s
movie feature. Food and drink are available at moderate prices. We’re to gather at 6pm.

Friday, September 28 7:00pm (casual)
SOCIAL will begin at 7pm at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside. Hors d’ oeuvres will be provided and a cash bar
will be available. Our classmate and long time recording artist Bob Zentz will provide some music for us.
Saturday, September 29 10:00am (casual)
A TOUR OF MAURY is planned. We’ll gather out front of the hotel, leaving at 10:00am by bus. After the tour of
our beautifully renovated school (elevator available) there will be a tour of the neighborhoods surrounding
Maury – some of you will be amazed at the changes to downtown Norfolk! We’ll return to the hotel for a boxed
lunch.
Saturday, September 29 6:00pm (dressy)
COCKTAILS, DINNER AND DANCING in the Sheraton ballroom. Cocktail hour, followed by a sit-down dinner.
Then it’s dancing to The Original Rhondels! (cash bar available for evening). There will be a photographer
provided to take group and individual pictures. He will need to be paid that night for any you select.
Sunday, September 30 9:00am
GATHER FOR BREAKFAST – anyone who is available to get together for a final farewell in the Sheraton’s
restaurant. The menu costs are not included in the reunion package price.
As the old song said, “See you in September” – of 2012 !!!
