IMPORTANT AMENDMENT TO THE REUNION FOLDER
Dear Classmates,
I just received the Reunion folder, as I trust that most of you did, and need to correct some mistakes as
well as provide more information. As the Alumni Office wrote, it really is “my heartfelt wish to have you
join us as we celebrate” our reunion. Please notify the Alumni Office if you didn’t receive the packet.
What events am I really planning to attend?




On Friday, from 4:45-6:30 p.m., our own classmate, Steve Wartman, will be receiving the
Distinguished Medical Alumnus Award during the Johns Hopkins Medicine Award and Portrait
Presentation event in the Armstrong Building, 2nd floor, Strauch Auditorium. In the past, this
event has always been enjoyable. Tours of the hospital are extremely worthwhile and available
on both Friday and Saturday.
On Saturday afternoon, you are welcome to join Donna and me in our hospitality suite (room # to
be determined) for visiting and light snacks.
On Saturday evening, our reunion dinner will be held at the nearby La Scala Ristorante from
6-10:30 p.m. The fee for social events (Saturday afternoon is on us & our pleasure) is $125
per person (not $175—see our revised response form).
On Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon, we will have our Blaze of Glory Brunch in the Armstrong
Medical Education Building, once again generously hosted by Bob and Judy Levy. This will be
an opportunity for you to see our Blaze of Glory conference room. We will also have a special
guest speaker, Neil Grauer, author of “Leading the Way: A History of Johns Hopkins Medicine.”
He will be available to sign books after his talk. If you already have a copy, please bring it with
you for signing. The book is very impressive and will also be available for purchase.
