CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
HEALTH & SAFETY
Club Welfare Office – Sue Lane
The Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to
ensure the Health & Safety of everyone present. For these measures to
be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and
prevent accidents occurring and obey the instructions of the Organiser
and all Officials and Stewards.
Riders must be suitably mounted and the horses welfare is of primary
consideration at all times.
LIABILITY The Owners/Organisers will not accept any responsibility for
any accident injury illness or loss of property howsoever caused
Dress Code:
MEDICAL ARMBANDS are compulsory and must be completed with
competitor details
WATCHES capable of being started/stopped/recording time are
forbidden
MOBILE PHONES may not be taken on the course whilst competing
HARD HATS of one of the following standards must be worn at all times
whilst mounted with chin strap or harness in place. Skull caps must be
worn with a silk.
British - PAS015 1998 OR 2011, BSEN1384 1997 OR 2012
with BS Kite Mark
European - EN1384 1996
American – All SEI, ASTM F1163 2004a or 04a, SNELL E2001
Australia & New Zealand – All SAI AS/NZS 3838 2006
HEAD CAMS may NOT be worn
HAIR must be neatly secured and hang no lower than shoulder
JEWELLRY if it cannot be removed must be covered by clothing/gloves
JODPHURS/BREECHES – must be white, cream or beige
JACKETS/Sweatshirts – long sleeved (short sleeved at discretion of
organiser), hunting stock is recommended
BACK PROTECTOR to level 3(Purple label, manufactured 2000 onwards)
must be fitted and worn according to manufacturers’ guidelines
BOOTS Plain black or brown, traditional style jodhpur or top boots
Gaiters may be worn if identical leather to boots with NO decoration
GLOVES are recommended
WHIPS must be non-weighted and be between 45cm and 75cm
SPURS please check details on BRC website (Rule Book Appendix 4)
Horse Eligibility:
HORSES & PONIES must be 4 years & over
BE points up to 20 allowed for INTERMEDIATE class, NIL points for any
NOVICE class
General:
DOGS must be kept on leads at all times
CHILDREN & PUSHCHAIRS must be kept away from practice areas and
collecting rings.
VACCINATION CERTIFICATES It is expected that all equines brought onto
the showground have current vaccination certificates for equine
influenza.
REFUNDS for entry fees only refunded on production of a valid vet or
doctor’s certificate.
OBJECTIONS must be made in writing within 15 minutes of the end of
the class with a £10.00 deposit, which will be forfeit if the objection is
over-ruled.
RESERVATION The organisers reserve the right to cancel any class if
deemed necessary and to refuse an entry without having to state the
reason.
