You may do a project on your own family, or you may come up with an imaginary family using celebrities. You will describe the members of your family using the vocabulary from our first and second units. See page numbers below. Format Choose one of the following formats for your project: Powerpoint Presentation with digital pictures Poster Presentation with printed pictures or illustrations A book with printed pictures or illustrations What You Need To Do You must introduce at least 8 family members (people and/or pets). You may do more than 8 if you would like! You should include the following information on each slide/section/page in complete sentences: The person’s name (page 31) The person’s relationship to you (page 27-35) The person’s age (page 37) A brief physical description of the person (page 139) A brief description of his or her personality (page 165, 167) A picture of the person (digital, printed, or illustrated) We will have some class time to work on our projects, but you are expected to complete the rest of your project outside of class. We will work on our projects in class on the following dates, so you should bring any materials to class on these days that you will need in order to work on your project. That might include your flash drive with photos on it, pictures of your family, colored pencils, poster paper or other materials. Student uses rich, varied, and appropriate vocabulary for 8 individuals in all 5 categories listed above. Project is lacking key elements, such as color, pictures, or organization. Project includes all necessary parts and contains evidence of creativity but does not go above and beyond.
