UNOPS - LKOH invites sealed bids from eligible bidders who have below ICTAD (Institution of Construction
Training and Development – Sri Lanka) registration under any category and having experience in similar
nature works for Construction of Storm Water Drainage System for Mannar Town, Sri Lanka (hereinafter
called as "Works”), under the terms set forth in the bid documents. Joint venture associations between two
National Companies which fulfils the requirement stipulated above will also be deemed as eligible for
submission of bids.
Bid documents will be issued for five packages. Bidders at their own discretion may bid for any package,
combination of packages or all the packages, if the proposed amount of works is within their financial limit and
capacity. If the bidders are bidding only for one package the minimum ICTAD grade shall be C5 or above (for
Package 1, 3 and 5) and C4 or above (for Package 2 and 4). Eligibility criteria for awarding more than one
bid is C4 or above.
Interested suppliers may obtain an electronic version of the complete set of tender documents in English
language by clicking the “View Documents” in the “Related Link” column or by contacting UNOPS-LKOH
Head Office, 118/5, Nawala Road, Colombo 05 or from UNOPS-LKOH Area Office – Mannar,
3rd Lane, Kulanthi Jesupuram, Thalvupadu Road, Mannar. Between 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on
business days from 20th August 2014 until 2nd September 2014 on submission of a written
request together with the original of the ICTAD grade registration

amendments or clarifications will be posted under the “view documents” of the concerned case file on the
https://www.unops.org/english/Opportunities/suppliers/Pages/Business-opportunities.aspx and we kindly ask
you to check the site before submitting your bid.
Bids must be received by UNOPS on the address, specified below on or before 12.00 pm (Sri Lanka time) on
4th September 2014 in a sealed envelope marked with Case No.: LKOH/CMB/SSID/14-005R
Please note that no remuneration will be made to bidders for preparation and submission of bids.
