Project Wisdom Morning Announcements
by Peer Helpers
Peer Helpers Welcome New Students
Peer Helpers are assigned to read Project
Wisdom announcements each day. Project
Wisdom is a character education program that
emphasizes a thought for the day which
always ends with "Make it a great day or not,
the choice is yours." Pictured is 7th grade Peer
Helper, Cole Leonard.
An important part of the Peer Helper Program is the
support Peer Helpers give to new students. When a
new student enrolls, every effort is made to place the
new student in at least one class with a Peer Helper.
The Peer Helpers tour the new students and introduce
them to other students, including them at break and
other times. Making new students feel welcomed and
accepted is key to the success of the Peer Helper
Program.
