Faculty studies are conducted in Slovenian language, the programme European Studies and
Political Science - Politics and the State as a part-time study is conducted in English. For the
programme Journalism, foreigners must pass an examination of Slovenian language at the intermediate
level until August 3rd, 2015. Send the certificate to the Higher Education Application and Information
Service of the University of Ljubljana.
Faculty implements 1st-cycle academic study programme: Analytical Sociology, Social Informatics,
European Studies, Media and Communication Studies, Marketing Communications and Public Relations MCPR, Cultural Studies, International Relations, Journalism, Political Science - Defence Studies, Political
Science - Studies of Democracy and Governance, Political Science - Politics and the State, Sociology Management of Organizations, Human Resources and Knowledge, and Social Informatics.
Mode of study
For all study programmes in the academic year 2015/2016, we will be implementing the full-time study,
part-time study is opened only for university study programmes European Studies and Political Science Politics and the State (they will be conducted in English).

Official length of the study programme: 4 years, 240 ECTS
Access Requirements for the study programme:
a) the Matura certificate,
b) having successfully completed 4-year secondary school program before 01/06/1995.
Where enrolment is limited, the following selection criteria are applied:
- average grade of the Matura examination or of the final examination (60%) and
- average grade and the 3 rd and 4 th years of secondary school (40%).
AND
A certificate of knowledge of Slovenian language for foreign citizens
For the programme Journalism, foreigners must pass an examination of Slovenian language at the
intermediate level until August 3rd, 2015. Send the certificate to the Higher Education Application and
Information Service of the University of Ljubljana.

Part-time study is conducted in English. Programmes will be carried out if there will be 20 applicants for
study programme Political Science - Politics and the State, and 19 applicants for study programme
European Studies.
1ST-CYCLE ACADEMIC STUDY PROGRAMME
POLITICAL SCIENCE - STUDIES OF DEMOCRACY AND GOVERNANCE
Official length of the study programme: 4 years, 240 ECTS
Access requirements for the study programme
The study programme of Political Science - Studies of Democracy and Governance can be entered by
candidates who:
a) has the Matura certificate,
b) has passed vocational Matura in any secondary school program and passed one of the Matura
subjects; the selected subject should not be subject that has already been selected in the vocational
matura,
c) having successfully completed 4-year secondary school programme before 01.06.1995.
Where enrolment is limited, the following selection criteria are applied:
candidates referred to in points a) and c) are selected according to:
 average grade of the Matura examination or of the final examination 60%of the points,
 average grade in the 3rd and 4th years of secondary school 40% of the points
Applicants referred to in point b) are selected according to:
 average grade of the Vocational Matura 20% of the points
 average grade in the 3rd and 4th year of secondary school 40% of the points
 grade of the Matura subject 40% of the points.

a) the Matura certificate, vocational Matura or final examination,
b) having successfully completed 4-year secondary school programme before 01/06/1995.

- average grade in the 3rd and 4th years of secondary school (40%).

FOLLOW-UP STUDY BY TRANSFER CRITERIA
Mode of applications and application deadlines are published in the introductory part of the call in
paragraph "XI. Follow-up study by transfer criteria."
The transfer and transfer criteria will be based on the opinion of the Head of Department, in which the
program is implemented, where the applicant wishes to transfer, decided by Vice Dean, taking into
account the applicable Transfer criteria between study programmes and provisions of the Rules of
undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences. Based on the already completed coursework, the
year that the student may enroll in will be determined, and also differential exams.
