Treasurer’s Report:

Head of Junior School Report: Chris Jackman
There is a very positive vibe in the school to start the beginning of the year. Due in part to a lot of new
enrolments. This is great for many areas of school life for eg: ability to field more sporting teams, band
opportunities and more academic options. In 15 years this is the closest that each class is nearly full.
The Junior School is the largest it has ever been.
The purpose of the P&F is to support the school by fundraising at events and it is important that the
donations that the P&F give are directly for the improvement of the children’s school life.
Any grievances are to be discussed initially with the class teacher and followed up if required with Chris
Jackman.
Chris Jackman would like a copy of the agenda before each meeting.
The pirate ship working bee requires help. Power tools required: electric drills, power saws, power leads
and shovels.
The new blocks around the play area have worked to keep the chip bark contained and look good.
The school Cocktail Party was fantastic.
JS will confirm what the P&F contribution to the Art Show will be. This possibly will be the framing of
student artwork. Mel Morris to come and speak at a P&F meeting.
Teachers wish list for 2012 discussed and quotes to be confirmed before further discussion.

General Business:
Fundraising – give each event a focus ie: CWA funds raised go towards the purchase of new dictionaries.
Motion: The P&F commit funds to a Class Wish List for each class. Accepted: Lisa Saint 2nd: Linda Siegert.

JS Rep on Executive Board notes from Executive meeting and Whole School meeting.
Notes from executive meeting:
1. New structure for school council. business as usual.
2. Trivia Night - JS P&F to contact P.Campbell asking him to speak with Jo Michael re: sponsorship
3. Spring Fair - Lesley Bland & Catriona Roach working together to create an information pack.
4. JS P&F to advise who will attend WS P&F meetings.
5. Cocktail Party - great night and thanks to support from JS
6. Exec suggest a raffle for Cocktail Party - Kris Sotter (KS) organized raffle prize & asked to promote .

6. KS asked Exec if JS P&F could have a key to canteen. This was approved.
Discussion to have new security lock & keys cut for canteen.
7. KS advised Exec that JS P&F to set up a link on school website.
Including information re: agenda, minutes, meeting schedule. KS has contacted Bob Poole.
8. KS advised Exec that JS P&F to have permanent page in VIM.

Chocolate Drive discussed: I box/family given out at school to sell off campus to work sites to fundraise.
Store boxes at Suzie Dowd’s House . Class parents distribute to their year class.
Motion: The P&F runs an Easter Box Chocolate Drive. Moved: Leigh Haywood 2ND: Kris Sotter
Motion: The money raised by each class goes directly back to that class to spend.
