Objective 1: Maintain and improve Service Environment Activities: Plan and participate in New Student Orientation (work with Sturm-Smith) (JulyAug) Plan for new offices, desk, and services arrangement (Fall) Continue Gov Docs collection draw-down (July-December) Open Access / eScholarShare promotion (July-December) Objective 2: Plan for Future of Instructional Environment Activities: Plan for new classroom (August/September) Continue to expand New Faculty Orientation and Outreach sessions (July-Nov) Library Instruction Future Planning Group (Commence with Classroom planning, continue through 2013-2014 AY) Objective 3: Resource promotion Activities: General approaches: Bruce, Kris, Karen Research Best Practices Keep in mind: Special needs of graduate students Changing nature of our resources and services Get It Now Services promotion Textbook Activity Committee: Bruce, Priya, Marc Promote Library’s e-book collections (with special emphasis on SpringerLink) to faculty as alternatives to “traditional” textbook approach Methodology: The group may create sub-groups with membership drawn from outside itself to undertake particular activities as it deems necessary. The group will keep a record of its activities and communicate these to all Library faculty and staff on a regular basis.
