It’s a great way to meet some new people and we really would love to have your input.
The Folger McKinsey PTO would like to extend a warm welcome to students and parents!
We're looking forward to a great school year and hope you will consider joining us. Look for the membership forms at Sneak A Peek night and Back to School Night; a family membership is only $15 and will provide you with a copy of the PTO Directory, an invaluable resource for getting in touch with classmates and friends.

This year the aluminum can recycling will be coordinated by the Outdoor Classroom
Club. Like in years passed, cans will be collected on Fridays starting later in fall – starting date to be announced in an upcoming Blast. Each class will be assigned a
Friday and will be responsible for advertising and coordinating the collecting of cans. Students and parents may participate in collecting cans during morning arrival. Members of the Outdoor Classroom Club also will be available to assist classes. Classes that collect the most cans and individual students who bring in the most cans will be recognized for their efforts.
Aluminum cans should be first washed out and brought to school in plastic bags. Bus riders should double-bag their cans. Please make sure the cans are ALUMINUM. (Check with magnet, if it sticks it is
NOT aluminum). Also remember to label your bags with each student's name, teacher and grade. The aluminum cans are brought to the county recycling center and the funds generated go right to the school. It pays to recycle!
Questions about the aluminum can recycling should be sent to Scott Ayers
( scottayers@hotmail.com
). Look for more details soon.

It is a very rewarding experience to work so closely with the Folger staff to make a difference for our students. Please consider one of these positions – it is through the dedication of our parents that the PTO continues to support Folger and our students.

We all shop-let’s earn money back!
We have a Direct Donation campaign and ask families to contribute what they can to the PTO. The donation is 100% taxdeductible and all proceeds go to PTO programs that benefit your Folger student.
That’s right, you will not be asked to sell gift wrap, pizza or cookie dough! With the exception of the Folger 5K/Family Fun
Run, we will not do any fundraising this year. One hundred percent of this money is used to fulfill wish lists of our teachers and sponsor events. This year we made it easy for you to write one check for both
Membership and Direct Donation. You will find Direct Donation information on the
PTO Membership form. Blank forms will be available at Back to School Night as well. Your Direct Donations helped fund the programs below:
Halloween Dance, Family Game
Night, Talent Show, School Play
Cultural Arts Assemblies/Artist in
Residence Program, Junior Great
