Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lough Derg 27-29 June 2013
Lough Derg is being proposed to parishioners as a “port of call” during the Year of
Faith. It’s an ancient place of prayer where the pilgrim is offered “time out
for body and soul”, spiritual renewal and a deeper appreciation of the
things which we normally take for granted (especially food, drink, sleep
and creature comforts). Above all it is a space Buses are being arranged
from the
Mullingar area. Tel: Carmel 044- 9374818 Tullamore area: Tel: Noeleen 057- 9321587

The World Youth Day International Meeting of young Catholics and the Pope is
taking place at the end of July in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It will be the first
encounter for Pope Francis with the youth of the Church and is even more
significant now that it is a South American Pope gathering for WYD in a
South American city! However due to the distance and the costs of travelling not many are able to
attend from Ireland. We invite the young people (+18years) of the Meath Diocese to gather in
Mullingar, to join in the celebrating of this major Church event, for a live screening of the World
Youth Day Prayer Vigil on the evening of Saturday 27th July 2013. We especially want also to invite
people living in the diocese from Brazil to come and join with us! More details to follow as we count
down the weeks! Go and make disciples of all nations! Mt.28:19
Rahugh Gathering Festival Chairman Joe Henson wishes to thank the excellent Committee Members &

days, he wishes to thank all who travelled home from far & near for the occasion. Thanks to Fr.
Brendan Corrigan P.P. & Fr Shane Crombie who concelebrated Open air Mass on the Sat evening, & all
who took part, too numerous to mention in the Events & Entertainment on both Saturday & Sunday.

others who helped in any way, & also a special word of thanks to all the team who cleaned up & left
