The Centre for Kidney Disease Research (CKDR) undertakes research to improve kidney
health in our population. The Centre’s three main areas of expertise are: chronic kidney
disease, kidney failure and dialysis, kidney cancer and drug testing including alternative
therapies. We have clinical and laboratory based projects.
Our team is internationally recognized for its excellence in research. The CKDR is a research
centre within the School of Medicine, The University of Queensland, and is located at two
hospital campuses, Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s
Hospital in Brisbane.
