It undertakes the mission responsibilities for research in development strategy and deployment of national geological survey and mineral resources exploration, nationwide geo-data collection, management and public service, informationization of the geological survey, and technical support for national key projects. The “National Geological Archives of China (NGA)” is subordinated to DRC. At present, DRC is staffed with 206 members, and composed of 21 departments. Over the past decade, considerable progress has been achieved in completing the core missions under the guidance of the Ministry of Land and Resources (MLR) and CGS.. Two publications, namely, Geology in China and Geological Bulletin of China are operated by DRC. By the end of 2014, DRC has organized 20 seminars/workshops including 15 Seminar on Geological Survey for the Administration Department Officials and 5 Training Course on Geochemical Mapping and Environmental Geochemical Survey Technologies for African Countries, receiving 400 officials from 67 countries and regions around the world. Entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, 2015 Training course on Geochemical Mapping and Environmental Geochemical Survey Technologies for Developing Countries will be held in Beijing from Aug. 11-Aug. 31,2015 by the Development Research Center (DRC) of China Geological Survey (CGS). Experts from Ministry of Land and Resources P.R.C (MLR), China Geological Survey (CGS) and the Institute of Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration (IGGE) will deliver lectures related to contents such as A Review and Outlook of the Geosciences in China: Administration and Science, the Role of Geological Work and its Achievements in the National Economic and Social Development of China , Geochemical Mapping Theory and Methodology , Geochemical Mapping and Exploration in China, Eco-geochemical Mapping: theory and Methodology, Eco-geochemical Mapping in China, Global Geochemical Baseline Project and Global Geochemical Mapping in China. In addition, participants will be invited to take a field trip to Sansan island gold mining, Shandong Provinces. During the training course, the participants will have more chances to exchange with each other. Besides, officials from China’s geological administration departments, together with executives from mining enterprises will be invited to seek opportunities for bilateral or multilateral cooperation in terms of geosciences research and mining development. So please prepare relevant materials for your presentation, including business cards, reports on geology and mineral resources in your country (PPT), laws related to mining development (such as mining laws or environmental protection laws), maps, drawings, etc.
