International Health Collective 07 Mar 2015 March 2015 Clinic Report International Health Collective 07 Mar 2015 MISSION International Health Collective at the University of California, San Diego exists to collaborate with the communities of Tijuana and San Diego, to provide accessible, quality health for the underserved. Students, health professionals, patients and community members learn from one another to increase collaborative solutions to our world’s pressing health and community problems. International Health Collective will provide free doctor consultations, medical care, medicine, and health education to families, who do not have access to medical treatment. Our ultimate goal is to treat immediate medical symptoms and illnesses by providing humanitarian support through the highest quality of personalized care. DEMOGRAPHICS The International Health Collective at the University of California, San Diego provided medical services and health education outreach to the Vinedos Casa Blanca community on March 7th, 2015 from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Our clinic site is situated in a Villafontana, a community located in the region of Vinedos Casa Blanca. The map illustrates the hospitals (letters A-J), while the smaller dots represent small pharmacies. The red box covers the potential area International Health Collective hopes to impact through more free medical clinics and health education seminars. The red box represents sixteen square miles of the eastern region of Tijuana where both socioeconomic and health care disparities are visually evident.
