Tuesday, October 28th Mill Rats Game- Students and staff will be travelling by bus to the Mill Rats Pre-Season School opener at Harbor Station on Wednesday, Oct 29th. The game starts at 11am and we will be returning to school at 1pm following the game. The student cost for the game is $4.00. Students are encouraged to bring their lunch to school or purchase a snack at the concession. Hot Lunch Orders Due to the Mill Rats Basketball tomorrow, students who purchased a hot lunch for tomorrow (Wednesday, Oct 29th), will have their meal replaced on Wednesday, November 5th. Picture Re-Takes: Picture retakes will take place on Wednesday morning before the Mill Rat Basketball game. Middle School Dance & Elementary Sock Hop: There will be a Middle School Halloween Dance on Thursday evening from 6:30-8:30 pm. The cost of the dance is $5.00. The Elementary students will have a sock hop at noon at the cost of $1.00. All proceeds will be donated to charity. Intramurals: Attention Elementary Students: Anyone interested in playing ball hockey intramurals, there will be a sign up on Wednesday. S.O.S. Stock Our Shelves School Competition: MNS is supporting the First Annual National Housing Week School Competition. Safe Harbour, through collaboration with the community partners and youth, will provide shelter with a safe, empowering environment that supports youth masking positive changes in their lives. This initiative is a direct response to the crisis in youth homelessness in southern NB. Using only the materials listed below, we will build a shelter. Judges will visit each school for examination of the shelter the week of Nov 10 th. Materials used are to be new and will go to the new Safe Harbour Transitional Youth Housing project after judging. Materials: *Non –Perishable food, paper towel, toilet paper, Kleenex, towels, sheets, blankets, pajama bottoms and T-Shirts, Pillows, Laundry detergent, toiletries, (shampoo, tooth paste, deodorant, feminine hygiene etc), socks, underwear. Boys and Girls Soccer- Congratulations on a successful season for boys and girls soccer. Both teams played in the Tier II final yesterday. Many thanks to coaches Margaret Kilpatrick, Sarah Ackroyed, Courtney Crosby, and Deborah Hicks. The students represented our school in fine fashion all season!
